How our Maui GPS App uses your Device

Maui GPS

GPS App Workings

Our Maui GPS Tour app uses your devices ability to determine where you are. Our Maui App is programmed to turn on and off at predetermined spots along your drive. Our app works off of GPS signals, and there is no need for cellular coverage.

Developed by the U.S. Department of Defense in 1973, the Global Positioning System (GPS) is a navigation system made up of 31 satellites precisely positioned 12,000 miles above earth, each transmitting a unique signal. Detecting these signals, the GPS receiver and software program in your devise can calculate your position anywhere on earth within 16 feet of accuracy.

Our Maui GPS Tour app uses your devise's ability to determine where you are. Our Maui tour program is made up of  an extensive series of GPS coordinates we have programmed into our app, and when our app recognizes that your device is at one of these predetermined coordinates, it triggers your device to begin playing our narration for that coordinate, and to also display the information and photos for that coordinate. This programmed, coordinated process continues automatically all along your drives of our beautiful island of Maui.
